Simultaneously, it provides an opportunity to unleash creativity by experimenting with diverse dishes. Therefore, in this blog, we present some dinner ideas that you can either prepare with your partner or surprise them with.

The perfect gift

Crafting meals with or for our partner not only allows us to explore the vast world of cooking, but also to forge a deep connection. A significant aspect of the language of love lies in words of affirmation, where we verbally express praise, support, and congratulations.

There's also the emotional exchange of giving or receiving gifts, the physical connection manifested through gestures like kisses and hugs, the value of sharing quality time—where mutual attention is devoted to listening and being heard without distractions—and finally, acts of service, encompassing everything from cooking and cleaning to providing tangible assistance. This is why a delectable and wholesome dinner, shared with your partner, makes for an exceptional gift on a special occasion.

Prepare a romantic dinner for two

Crafting a dinner with or for someone significant in our lives is indeed a beautiful gesture, but preparing a healthy dinner with ingredients that nourish both the heart and soul adds an extra layer of specialness.

Engaging in the preparation of your Valentine's Day dinner with wholesome ingredients brimming with flavor elevates the dish to another level. In doing so, you're not only investing time in something extraordinary, but also nurturing your relationship and your balanced lifestyle.

Special Menus for a Special Day

Now that you understand why this is an excellent idea-a balanced lifestyle with a balanced dinner-in the following paragraphs, we present three easy yet delicious, nutritious, and healthy menus. Above all, these menus are rich in good fatty acids and omegas.

Menu 1: Steak wellington bites

We recommend kicking off the evening with a crispy appetizer. These bites boast a generous dose of Omega-3 and vitamin E, thanks to the inclusion of black olives in their ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 500g of beef fillet.

  • ½ teaspoon salt.

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper.

  • 1 tablespoon of Oli by Nutrioli® Olive Oil.

  • ½ cup pitted black olives.

  • ½ kilo puff pastry.

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten.

  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard.

Steps

  1. Cut the filet into 2 cm cubes and season with salt and pepper. Heat a frying pan and add Oli by Nutrioli® Olive Oil; fry the cubes until golden brown. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the black olives in a food processor and grind them into a paste.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut squares of approximately 7 cm. Spread a thin layer of mustard in the center, and top it with the olive paste. Place a filet cube inside each square. To seal the package, fold the corners of the pastry inwards, seal each end with the beaten egg, and press them together. Transfer to a tray lined with waxed paper and let it sit for at least half an hour. Brush the puff pastry squares with a glaze and bake for 10-15 minutes.

Menu 2: Greek pasta with tortellini

Grab your bottle of wine and get ready to savor the second half. Our recommendation is to pair it with a good white wine; if you prefer reds, go for a light or medium-bodied option. Below, we share a step-by-step guide to relishing this delectable Greek pasta.

Ingredients

  • 400g tortellini pasta.

  • 1 tablespoon of Oli by Nutrioli® Olive Oil.

  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes.

  • ½ red onion, chopped.

  • 1 cucumber, peeled and diced.

  • 4 artichoke hearts, quartered.

  • ½ cup sliced black olives.

  • ½ cup feta cheese, cut into squares.

  • 1/3 cup chopped basil leaves.

For the greek dressing

  • ¼ cup Oli by Nutrioli® Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar.

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic.

  • 1 teaspoon oregano.

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil.

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme.

  • 2 teaspoons sugar.

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard.

  • ½ teaspoon salt.

  • Pepper for seasoning.

  • Juice of ½ lemon.

Steps

  1. Cook the tortellini in plenty of salted water with a tablespoon of Oli by Nutrioli® Olive Oil until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Combine the dressing ingredients in a jar, cover, and shake vigorously.

  3. In a bowl, mix the tortellini, tomatoes, onion, cucumber, artichoke hearts, olives, cheese, and basil.

  4. Pour the dressing over the mixture and toss well.

  5. Refrigerate before serving.

Menu 3: Baked salmon

We continue with this refreshing and distinctive menu, presenting salmon as the main course for the third time. Known for its rich content of protein, omega-3, and B vitamins, salmon pairs perfectly with any type of dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 piece of salmon, approximately 800g, with skin.

  • 4 tablespoons of lemon juice.

  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped.

  • Salt and pepper to taste.

  • 1 tablespoon of Italian herbs for seasoning.

  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley.

  • A pinch of chili flakes.

  • 2 tablespoons of Oli byNutrioli® Olive Oil.

  • 1 tablespoon of butter.

Steps

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, combine lemon juice with chopped garlic. Heat until slightly reduced, then add butter. Remove from heat and stir to melt. Return to heat and add Nutrioli® Olive Oil. Cook briefly, then remove from heat again.

  2. Place the piece of salmon on a large piece of aluminum foil, large enough to wrap it. Coat the salmon with Oli by Nutrioli® Olive Oil, and season with salt, pepper, Italian herbs, and chili flakes.

  3. Close the foil package and place it on a baking sheet. Bake the salmon at 180°C (350°F) for 12 to 14 minutes.

  4. Remove from the oven, let it stand for 10 minutes, then open the foil, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
